Description
Mathematics knowledge and ability in early childhood predicts mathematics achievement into early adolescence. However, children’s exposure to mathematics and number talk in the home varies widely. Library programs for young children can be tailored to support early math learning. This session will outline seven principles for developing mathematical abilities in early childhood and describe practical ways to integrate these principles into library programs for preK and kindergarten students.Period | Jul 9 2024 |
