Research Interests
Dr. Poonawala is interested in perception and motion control in robots using tools from deep learning and control theory. His work addresses the fundamental challenge of providing performance guarantees for data-driven systems. His recent work focuses on performance in terms of stability and safety of robots moving in cluttered environments.
