Research Interests

My research focuses on translation of the eating-related evidence base into community programs promoting health equity for rural populations. During the last two decades, our approach has been framed by the socio-ecological model and aimed at improving the capacity of individuals and communities to engage in obesity prevention strategies. I employ mixed methods to develop, implement, and evaluate programs delivered through the Cooperative Extension Service.
