Research Interests
Jeffery Talbert, PhD is Professor and Division Chief in Biomedical Informatics at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine. He serves as Director of the Institute for Biomedical Informatics (IBI), Associate Director of the UK Center for Clinical and Translational Science (CCTS), and Deputy Director for the Rural and Underserved Health Research Center. His research specialization is public health informatics focused on the intersection of evidence-based policy and health care outcomes. Current research projects focus on big data approaches to reducing substance use disorder and designing analytic approaches to improve health outcomes for state Medicaid programs.
