Research Interests
Research in the Cassis laboratory focuses on the renin-angiotensin system in cardiovascular and metabolic diseases. This includes studies focused on hypertension, aortic aneurysmal disease, obesity and associated diseases, and COVID-19 in the context of the renin-angiotensin system. An area of emphasis is on biologic determinants of sex and how they influence the development and treatment of disease.
