Personal profile
Research Interests
I maintain a long term interest in understanding the cell signaling cascades that drive oncogenesis in lung cancers. We have used high throughput gene expression data as both predictive and descriptive measures of cell signaling activity. We are also interested in personalizing therapy for lung cancer patients.
I am also interested in the scholarship of teaching and learning.
Biography
I am a native South Carolinian and was educated at Clemson University. I worked for a short time as a research technician at the University of South Carolina before graduate school at the University of Florida. Following my PhD, I move to Duke University/Howard Hughes Medical Institute for a postdoctoral fellowship. I have been at UK since 2004.
