Pursuant to KAS 157.075, funds are to provide two-year grants to pilot differentiated compensation programs for teachers in at least five school districts. This grant will be for the !.IvaJuationof these pilot sites and the overall effectiveness of differentiated compensatlon programs. The contractor will 1) conduct a review of state and national differentIated compensation models; 2) coordinate with the technical review panel In developing evaluation criteria to determine the success of each pilot site, as well as the overall success crt the pilot project; 3) collect & analyze data from pilot sites; 4) prepare a report that describes the characteristics and impact of the differentiated compensation pilot sites: 5) collaborate with the National Governors Association State Policy Institute to provide recommendations to the Interim Joint Commlnee on education for presentation in October 2004.
