The 2016 Fulbright Global Health Conference being held February 24-27, 2016, focuses on “Global Health and the UN Millennial Goals.” The Conference will specifically engage four of the UN Millennial Goals: Poverty, Maternal Health, Child Mortality, and HIV and other Infectious Diseases. The Conference is composed of a variety of activities including four keynote speakers: Dr. F. Douglas Scutchfield, Dean Donna Arnett, Dr. Ardis Hoven, and Ambassador Carey Cavanaugh. Other activities include panels covering Child Mortality and HIV and Other Infectious Diseases. The Fulbright student attendees will present papers and posters, as well as engage in skill building workshops and participant workshops directed at engaging the attendees in the consideration of solutions to Poverty, Disease Eradication, Female Literacy, Global Health Paternalism, and the Cost of Pharmaceuticals. Significant time has been allotted to networking among the attendees.
