Description

Results from specialty crop research and development conducted by the University of Kentucky will identify best management practices for production of sparkling wine and cider. Results will be presented to commercial wineries, breweries, and apple growers through formal meetings including the annual Kentucky Fruit and Vegetable Conference as well as through grower/producer workshops and individual site visits conducted by UK Horticulture Extension Specialists. Such meeting will be held during the second and third year of the project. Surveys will be developed, distributed, collected and analyzed to determine the degree of commercial implementation of best management practices proposed by UK Research and Extension efforts.
