2019 Enhancing the Pesticide Safety Education Program for Kentucky

The funds made available through this opportunity will be used to enhance our existing Pesticide Safety Education Program (PSEP). This proposal requests funds to develop training videos used by county agents to train and certify private pesticide applicators. Funds are requested to support 6 individual payments to graduate students for the finished development of PSEP training videos on topics approved by the PI to enhance the PSEP program. These videos will be from 5 to 10 minutes in length and replace out of date videos or add videos needed for new topics. A staff member in plant pathology, who has experience developing training videos, will assist the students with development of these videos. This project will enhance our Private Applicator Certification Program.
