A Randomized, Masked, Prospective, Comparative Pilot Evaluation of Postoperative Topical Tacrolimus on Ahmed Valve Surgical Success in Glaucoma Patients

Topical tacrolimus will reduce tissue targeted postoperative inflammation following placement of a drainage device in glaucoma patients and result in improved outcomes. This prospective pilot project will be designed to evaluate the surgical outcomes in consecutive glaucoma patients randomized to either the standard postoperative medication regimen or treatment with topical tacrolimus.
