Description
The purpose of this Agreement if for Dr. Martin to provide scientific guidance and support to AACAP on the above mentioned federal funded grant. Dr. Martin will work with AACAP staff to provide programmatic and administrative oversight to the grant Advisory Committee. Dr. Martin will ensure all grant activities are conducted in accordance with the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and federal regulatory guidelines.
A. Dr. Martin will be required to perform the following:
1. Help to ensure a fair and open competitive scholar application and selection process.
2. Organize and lead Advisory Committee meetings held during the annual retreat and breakout session at the AACAP annual meeting.
3. Lead the development of the Annual K12 Program Evaluations completed by the Advisory Committee members.
4. Provide a written summary of the Annual K12 Program Evaluations and Feedback to the Program Director and the AACAP Director of Research, Training and Education. The summary should include recommendations for the program modifications to enhance the progress and career development of K12 Scholars.
5. Serve as a mentor to the K12 Scholars with their research and career development.
6. Ensure timely submission of Advisory Committee and scholar reports as requested by AACAP.
7. Dr. Martin’ assistant will participate in grant administrative activities as requested by Dr. Martin.
8. All activities will be coordinated through the AACAP Directory of Research, Training and Education to ensure timeliness and appropriateness of the tasks.
B. The University is required to perform the following:
1. Submit monthly invoices for the Dr. Martin’s assistant based upon the approved funding support described in Article 4 below.
2. Maintain the accounting of the support provided in accordance with the Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles and Audit Requirements of Federal Awards, known as “Uniform Guidance” and in accordance with the cost principles of the Department of Health and Human Services.
3. Comply with the requirements of Uniform Guidance, as appropriate. The University will supply copies of the auditor’s reports each year for the period in which an effective portion of this contract falls within 30 days of the University receiving the auditor’s report. If the University is in noncompliance, the University will provide copies of responses to auditors’ reports and a plan for corrective action.
4. Provide the University’ fiscal year end date to AACAP and notify AACAP of any changes to the fiscal year-end date with 30 days of such a change.
