Addresses Water Quality and Effectiveness of Nutrient Reduction in Restored Floodplain Wetlands in Mississippi River Basin

Grants and Contracts Details

Description

Title: Wetland Water Quality and Soil Nutrient Dynamics in the Northern Mississippi Embayment PI: Brad Lee The USDA NRCS EQIP edge-of-field water quality monitoring (EoF) program is a standard practice that is used to quantify the amount of sediment and nutrients that runoff from an agricultural field. We propose to use the same sampling protocol as the EoF program in palustrine wetlands in the northern Mississippi Embayment in western Kentucky following the installation protocol detailed in the USDA NRCS EQIP standard practice 202 surface water and the water quality monitoring protocol detailed in the USDA NRCS EQIP standard practice 201.
