    Description

    The first goal of this proposal is to engage critical stakeholders to identify local animal and agriculture emergency planning issues, and enable them to achieve locally-defined, need-based capability requirements. Objectives are: (1.1) identify, attract, and engage stakeholders from targeted audience categories to participate in the project; (1.2) increase participants' capacity to relate local agrosecurity and companion animal issues to emergency management; and (1.3) empower participants to incorporate capability requirements into emergency operations planning. The second goal is to apply lessons learned from this project to contribute to and expand EDEN products. Objectives are: (2.1) increase the distribution of EDEN products through a systematic statewide delivery of seminars and workshops by designated program managers; (2.2) assesseffectiveness of EDEN products and the dissemination approach through evaluation of potential corollary outcomes; and (2.3) incorporate unique local expertise and experience as improvements and refinements to the EDEN seminar and workshop content.
