Grants and Contracts Details
Description
The first goal of this proposal is to engage critical stakeholders to identify local
animal and agriculture emergency planning issues, and enable them to achieve locally-defined,
need-based capability requirements. Objectives are: (1.1) identify, attract, and engage
stakeholders from targeted audience categories to participate in the project; (1.2) increase
participants' capacity to relate local agrosecurity and companion animal issues to emergency
management; and (1.3) empower participants to incorporate capability requirements into
emergency operations planning. The second goal is to apply lessons learned from this project
to contribute to and expand EDEN products. Objectives are: (2.1) increase the distribution of
EDEN products through a systematic statewide delivery of seminars and workshops by
designated program managers; (2.2) assesseffectiveness of EDEN products and the
dissemination approach through evaluation of potential corollary outcomes; and (2.3)
incorporate unique local expertise and experience as improvements and refinements to the
EDEN seminar and workshop content.
