AI and particle physics

Grants and Contracts Details

Description

Quantum computers have the potential to dramatically improve the scaling of computational time with the number of degrees of freedom, making previously intractable problems accessible. Current quantum computing technology involves noisy circuits and requires careful attention to error correction and fault tolerance. The use of AI algorithms to optimize noisy quantum circuits is investigated. The algorithms are tuned and tested on different quantum computing architecture, and compared to other algorithms.
