Description

My main scientific goals during this sabbatical leave include: (1) to further study the issues on regularity and structure of singularity associated with stationary harmonic maps and minimizing biharmonic maps. (2) to develop systematically the dynamic law of phase transition problems of potential functions of higher dimensional wells. (3) to establish the existence and partial regularity of Leray-Hopf type weak solutions of the nematic liquid crystal flows in dimension three. (4) to continue the study of uniqueness and regularity of viscosity solutions of Aronsson's equation and absolute minimizers. (5) to continue writing the monograph on L-infinity variational problems.
