Grants and Contracts Details

This document presents tasks and timelines for the completion of two agricultural Homeland Security initiatives. The first involves building and testing a pilot near-realtime syndromic surveillance system for the Kentucky Office of the State Veterinarian that is integrated with the KYHerds software written by CAI and now being implemented. The purpose of the second study is to build a similar system that will utilize diagnostic laboratory data sets for the purpose of surveillance (e.g. tests, specimens, diagnoses). All data streams will be analyzed by the SatScan software as described herein using the Poisson-based model for temporal and spatial cluster identification.
