Description
Abstract:
Rice root aphids are below-ground feeding insects that are difficult to control and have become a
major pest as production of their host plants has grown, including hemp grown under field and
greenhouse conditions. Colonization of new plants is largely by alate forms (winged) that may
emerge from soil in large numbers as plants near maturity.
The objective of this trial is to screen the efficacy of a few unregistered insecticides against this
pest under greenhouse conditions.
