Appalachian Community Technical Assistance and Training (ACTAT) Program
Task 1: Project Logistics/Monitoring/Reporting/ Advisory Committee Meetings
U K personnel will provide outreach to Kentucky specific stakeholders to solicit participation by systems in need of training and technical assistance. Will monitor project and Kentucky participant progress throughout project period to ensure milestones are being met and participants are making progress. Will provide quarterly reports to Wet Vi rginia University (WVU) for inclusion in quarterly reports to funding agency. Will participate in quarterly conference calls with the advisory committee.
Task 2: Team Exercise Workshops
Working with WVU, UK personnel will identify three water utilities in KY for further assistance. The first phase of this assistance will be to conduct a daylong team exercise workshop with utility personnel with the goal of identifyi ng one priority management area for each utility.
Task 3: Action Plan Development
UK personnel will devote 3 days of support for each of the three utilities in assisting them in developing a formal action plan for one priority area.
Task 4. Action Plan Implementation
U K personnel will devote 5 days of support for each water utility over the course of the project year in helping to implement thei r action plan.
Task 5. Provide Technical Assistance
UK personnel with devote 6 days of technical support for each water utility over the course of the project year in addressing technical, managerial, or financial issues associated with the im plementation of their action plant.
Task 6: WV Workshop in a Box
Will travel to WV training site to partici pate in "Workshop In A Box" traini ng being conducted by WVU. U K personnel will provide table facilitators.
Task 7: KY Workshop in a Box
Will travel to WV traini ng site to observe and participate in "Workshop I n A Box" training being conducted by WVU to ensure training programs being cond ucted by the project are consistent across state boundaries.
