Abstract: The mission of the Forage-Animal Production Research Unit (FAPRU) at Lexington, Kentucky is to improve productivity, profitability, competitiveness, and sustainability of forage-based livestock enterprises within the transition zone of the eastern and Midwestern United States. As part of this mission, FAPRU seeks to cooperate in agricultural research activities. Work closely with the Agency in planning and conducting the research outlined herein: To provide cattle to USDA-ARS, FAPRU who will then retain ownership of said cattle, as needed, to meet specific objectives (sex, weight, age, reproductive status), delivered to the University of Kentucky, C. Orin Little Animal Research Center in Woodford County at times to be agreed upon. Cooperator will transport cattle to and from the University of Kentucky Animal Research Center at times agreed upon with ARS or will facilitate transport by outside entity.
