Archaeological Survey of a Proposed Stream Restoration on Hatchery Creek in Russell Co., Kentucky

This proposal has been prepared in response to a request from Andrew Mowrey of the Kentucky Department for Fish and Wildlife Resources (KDFWR) for a Phase I archaeological survey of a proposed stream restoration project on Hatchery Creek in Russell County, Kentucky. This investigation is intended to provide specific information concerning the nature and distribution of archaeological resources within the project area. The work that is proposed will include a review of known archaeological sites and an evaluation of the extant documentary and cartographic sources pertaining to the project area. This information will serve as the basis for the completion of a Phase I archaeological survey, using primarily subsurface investigative techniques.
