Grants and Contracts Details
Description
KGS has scanned images of approximately 13,700 oil and gas elogs that are known to have depth/temperature logs. A cursory examination of a sample of images suggests that not all logs will have adequate scale designations for quantitative use. KGS proposes to review all images, and digitize those with quantitative curves using Nuralog software. This work will be performed by the Geologist I.
In the first phase of data collection, KGS will investigate methods of removing down hole effects from the data to better model depth-temperature relationships.
