Grants and Contracts Details
Description
This project will characterize and assess SRS streams in the Upper Coastal Plain of SC. Sampling locations will emphasize perennial streams, but will included intermittent, and ephemeral reaches of our study streams. These sampling locations will also be utilized in other ongoing research studies in conjunction with the USDA Forest Service-Savannah River, University of Kentucky, Savannah River Ecology Laboratory, and the Savannah River National Laboratory. These studies will focus on the long term effects of excessive stormwater runoff on stream geomorphology and hydrology. This will include assessments of important habitat structure commonly used by stream fishes, amphibians, and macroinvertebrates.
