Years 1 - 2 Complete metabolite profiles for tall fescue plants symbiotic with the common-toxic endophyte genotype, plus their asymbiotic controls, under conditions of drought stress. Year 3 Complete metabolite profiles for tall fescue plants symbiotic with nontoxic endophyte genotypes, plus their asymbiotic controls, with and without drought stress. Complete gene expression profiles for tall fescue plants symbiotic with common-toxic endophyte genotypes, plus their asymbiotic controls, with and without drought stress. Year 4 Complete gene expression profiles for tall fescue plants symbiotic with nontoxic endophyte genotypes, plus their asymbiotic controls, with and without drought stress. Test effects of endophyte on host plant gene expression in different tissues involved in seed-transmission of the endophyte.
