Description
Chemical ligands within the biosphere modulate inter-kingdom signaling. The way in which endophytic microorganisms communicate and modulate their plant host metabolism is poorly understood. Improving our understanding of this chemical communication cross-talk may have potential use in agriculture. Specifically we propose to induce change in plant metabolism using exogenously supplied chemical signals derived from endophytes (as a field level herbicidal treatment).
