Description

The Governor’s Office of Electronic Health Information (GOEHI) has been selected by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) as a sub awardee to receive funding for the integration of behavioral health services and primary care services (CFDA # 93.243). The National Council for Community Behavioral Healthcare is the prime contractor. It is known that physical health conditions among people with serious mental illnesses impacts quality of life and contributes to premature death. The purpose of the federal funding is to develop the infrastructure supporting the secure exchange of health information among behavioral health and physical health providers through the development or adaption of electronic health information exchange systems.
