Biosystems and Agriculture Engineering Training-Educational Consortium for Sustainable Plant and Animal Production Systems

Grants and Contracts Details

Description

The Biosystems and Agricultural Engineering Training Consortium involves engineering and agriculture sciences faculty at the University of Kentucky, Iowa State University, Federal Universities of Vicosa, Campina Grande, and Lavras, and the State University of Sao Paulo in Piracicaba. The primary focus is training of engineers for agriculture and related biological systems. We propose to establish this undergraduate education consortium for the mutual recognition of our core engineering curricula and academic credits. The program will also enhance our existing strong current collaborative programs, strengthen our graduate student capabilities, promote additional student international work experiences, and provide enhanced language acquisition and cultural exposure for students and faculty at all institutions.
