Blood and Urine Biomarkers for Predicting Long-Term Adverse Kidney and Cardiovascular Outcomes after Cardiac Surgery

Dr. Neyra will work closely with Dr. Fox to assess biomarker and clinical data collected for this study. Dr. Neyra’s area of specific interest and expertise within the specialty of nephrology is acute kidney injury and Klotho biology. During the years of grant funding for this proposal he will work together with Dr. Fox to adjudicate major adverse kidney outcomes in this study as needed, and he will be involved with data interpretation with Dr. Fox. Dr. Neyra is well versed in clinical research methodology as well as clinical nephrology.
