The Cooperator seeks to conduct a program which is expected to result in: ~ The safeguarding of Kentucky¡¦s top industries against many invasive pests. ~ Timely identification of high-risk, exotic invasive organisms that could threaten the agricultural and natural resources of Kentucky and the United States. ~ Providing survey data about these pests to keep the markets open for Kentucky¡¦s agricultural products. This program facilitates the exportation of agricultural products from Kentucky by providing reasonable assurance of pest absence. ~ Preventing invasive pests from becoming established. ~ Early detection and a rapid response if any of these pests are found in the state. ~ The entry of positive/negative data into NAPIS.
