Abstract The purpose of this project is for the University of Kentucky (UK) Department of Pediatrics, UK Kentucky Injury Prevention Research (KIPRC) Center agree to collaborate with the Department of Public Health Child Fatality Review/Injury Prevention Program to address pediatric injury prevention through education, public health programming, policy initiatives, surveillance, risk factor analysis, direct intervention and evaluations. KIPRC will provide the professional development, technical assistance and consulting services to the Department for Public Health’s Child Fatality Review and Injury Prevention Program in addition to local injury prevention coalitions, local public health departments, safety advocacy groups and others who are working to address injury problems at the community level.
