Description

The goal of this CA is to provide local teachers with information describing the effects that the War Between the States had on lives of the local population of the upper cumberland. Plateau (UCP). To do this the National Park Service, through a $11,800 THAC (Teaching History and Civics) Grant will present five teacher in-service training presentations (One for each county surrounding Big South Fork and for One adjacent to both BISO and OBRI). At the conclusion of the project the notes and data collected for the presentations for all of the counties involved will be collated into a teaching module and presented to the NPS at BISO which will then distribute it to all school systems in these counties .
