Description
Climate Resilience through Community Resilience is a multi-year creative scholarship project in
Appalachian Kentucky culminating in a series of public exhibitions and a digital archive articulating a
community vision for thriving in the time of climate change. The proposed project for NEA Our Town
funding will take place in Hazard, KY with a focus on climate-aware downtown revitalization through
creative placemaking. The project will engage faculty and students from the School of Architecture and
School of Interiors, as well as regional artists and community-based organizations.
