Description
The purpose of this initiative is to establish an innovative career pathway that strengthens Kentucky’s
mental and behavioral health workforce by creating direct, structured opportunities for high school
graduates to enter roles supporting individuals with Substance Use Disorder (SUD), Serious Mental
Illness (SMI), and Serious Emotional Disorders (SED). This initiative expands access to specialized
training and certification, equipping students with the skills and credentials needed to contribute
meaningfully to the behavioral health system immediately upon graduation.
