Coal Education - Video Documentary Project

Grants and Contracts Details

Description

The energy landscape for the Commonwealth of Kentucky has changed dramatically in the last five years. In the past cheap electricity has been the result of our coal production and has led to our economyfs reliance on manufacturing and coal production related revenue. However, with shifting use patterns, declining coal production, increased environmental regulations, aging electricity generation infrastructure and a changing market, Kentucky is now facing an unprecedented need to make informed decisions quickly that will impact future decades of Kentuckians. In order to inform both our legislators and state]wide decision makers as well as the general public, we propose a video documentary project. The project will contain three main deliverables: a 10]15 minute executive summary video, an hour long broadcast general audience documentary and a premiere event for the documentary.
