The University of Kentucky, Department of Pediatrics supports the American Thrombosis and Hemostasis Network (ATHN) as the grantee in partnership with the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in their administration of the cooperative agreement 1 NU27DD001155-01-00, "Community Counts: Publice Health Surveillance for Bleeding Disorders," which has been awarded to ATHN by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services for the period September 30, 2015 - September 29, 2020. For the past four years, we have received funds under CDC Grant Number 2U27DD000862-04 and have been part of the longitudinal collection of data for the Community Counts project. We agree to continue to participate in surveillance by ensuring the proper consenting of patients, the collection of longitudinal data, and provision of specimens needed to be successful with the goals and objectives set forth in the grant Notice of Award.
