Grants and Contracts Details
Description
Based on the PI’s initial collaboration with the Lexington-Fayette County Health Department’s quality services team to facilitate Photovoice in support of community health assessment and improvement planning, the team would like to establish a one-year technical assistance contract with the UK Center for Innovation in Population Health’s IMPACT team. With support from the project director, The PI will provide strategic planning and coalition facilitation consultation for the Lexington-Fayette County Community Health Improvement Planning (CHIP) team as they translate their behavioral health improvement priorities into SMART objectives for each of the CHIP’s four sub-groups. Dr. McGladrey, the project director, and their student team will co-design agendas and facilitation strategies for quarterly CHIP and key priority meetings and provide documentation support. The PI also will serve as the Photovoice expert advising the CHIP’s collaboration with LexArts on an Arts and Health Council, providing technical assistance for the work of LexArts Photovoice coordinator in conducting additional Photovoice groups to supplement the health department’s Photovoice data collected in summer/fall 2023. The PI’s students are supporting LexArts with Photovoice session note-taking, and we are facilitating evaluation data collection and analysis for Photovoice participants and people interact with Photovoice products in community exhibitions (we have a Not Human Subjects determination from the University of South Florida’s IRB from when the PI started this project in spring 2023).
