Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government Community Paramedicine Overdose
Outreach Lexington (LFUCG – CPOOL) Evaluation
Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government (LFUCG) is submitting a grant to the Department
of Justice to fund the Community Paramedicine Overdose Outreach Lexington (CPOOL)
program. The UK Center on Drug and Alcohol Research will be responsible for conducting an
evaluation of this program, if funded. The evaluation includes collecting and analyzing de-
identified data from first responders who interact with individuals and families who experience
or are affected by a drug overdose event. A process evaluation will be conducted annually by the
evaluation team through confidential interviews with key staff and stakeholders to document
program implementation, successes, and challenges. Reports will be prepared for LFUCG for
regular Continuous Quality Improvement meetings to measure progress toward grant goals and
to address any on-going challenges. In addition, annual reports including both process and
outcome evaluation data will be prepared.
