Description
The purpose of this Special Populations Project is to complete secondary analysis of
deidentified Kentucky Medicaid data to determine how tobacco cessation usage has
changed since SB89 went into effect.
OBJECTIVES
1. To assess SB89 policy strength of implementation.
2. To provide secondary analysis of health insurance coverage practice of tobacco
cessation products and services to Kentucky Medicaid recipients.
3. To evaluate the performance of SB89 implementation and its effect on tobacco
cessation rates among the Kentucky Medicaid population.
