Compile Estimates of Soybean Yield Suppression by Diseases in the U.S. During 2015

Grants and Contracts Details

Description

Project Summary: - Diseases cause yield losses to soybean in the U.S. every year; however, the magnitude of losses and primary diseases involved can shift yearly - Shifts in diseases are influenced by many factors, such as weather, soybean genetics, management practices, and changes in pathogen populations - The long-term goal of this project is to monitor yield loss effects of soybean diseases over time using a multi- year database, and to identify factors that influence the magnitude of yield loss and the spectrum of diseases that cause these yield losses - The one-year objective is to determine which soybean diseases were most important for yield reduction in the U.S. in 2015
