Description
This proposal is to support Contra Costa County Behavioral Health Services in its implementation of the Adult Needs and Strengths Assessment (ANSA) as an assessment and program evaluation outcomes tool.
The following steps are proposed in the use of the Transformational Collaborative Outcomes Management (TCOM) framework for this process.
1. ANSA Implementation consultation, planning, and ongoing implementation support:
Dr. Lyons and his team will support Contra Costa County Behavioral Health Services in its implementation and roll-out of the ANSA.
Consultation and support will include enhancing implementation expertise of CANS within the leadership, the CANS implementation team, and CANS certified trainers.
Additional consultation and technical assistance will be provided as needed.
Time Frame: January 1, 2020 – June 30, 2020
Deliverables:
• Support and technical assistance to ANSA Implementation Team through monthly meetings (in-person or phone) (Faculty TBH)
• General consultation and technical assistance on ANSA implementation tasks (Faculty TBH)
• 2 days of implementation consultation with county leadership; dates to be determined with Contra Costa BHS leadership (Faculty TBH)
2. Development of ANSA tool and online certification course development for Contra Costa County Behavioral Health: Support development of Contra Costa County ANSA version and Reference Guide. Develop Contra Costa County CANS training and certification course on www.tcomtraining.com.
Time Frame: February – March, 2020
Deliverables:
• Support of ANSA review and item selection,
• Contra Costa County ANSA Tool & Reference Guide,
• Contra Costa County ANSA online certification course (tcomtraining.com).
3. Algorithm and Decision Support Development. Provide technical assistance and analytics to design initial decision support models for level of care, intensity of intervention/case management, specific referral to programs and services.
Action steps include algorithm development and testing (data cleaning, analysis and reporting).
