Coordination with Center for Tobacco Grower Research

Grants and Contracts Details

Description

The UK Extension Specialist will conduct six to nine total face to face interviews on cost of production. The Univeristy of Kentucky will establish a network of agricultural suppliers in Kentucky that will respond to regularly sent price surveys. UK will assist CTGR (Center for Tobacco Growers Research) in recruiting focus group participants in their region and/or identify a local meeting coordinator to assist in the recruitment of farmer participants. Specialists at both UT and UK are working on projects to collect and analyze cost of production information for tobacco. A key part of CTGRs work relies on farmer participation in surveys.
