Grants and Contracts Details

The goal of this project is to analyze Kentucky Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System (BRFSS) Data and prepare small-area data for publication on the Foundation’s Kentucky Health Facts website. The grantee will collaborate with the Foundation and KDPH to produce a report on Health Disparities in the Commonwealth. The University of Kentucky research team led by Claudia Hopenhayn, PhD (UK) will undertake Stage II Small Area Analysis of Kentucky Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System (BRFSS) Data. This will entail application of the methodology developed for “peer county” small area analysis (Stage I, completed project under contract with Kentucky Department for Public Health (KDPH), documented in a previously-submitted report), to analyze current Kentucky BRFSS data, and to prepare tables and maps to be used for presentation of county-level results on website.
