Covid 19: CoVID-19 Prevention Network (CoVPN) Site Preparedness Funding - Lexington Protocol-Specific Site

This award is only for site preparedness funds to prepare for participation in Phase III clinical trials described below. Preparedness funds can go to hiring and training of new staff, preparation of mobile research units, procurement of clinical or local lab equipment, supplies, and community outreach. This prepares for clinical trials as described here: CoVPN 3006 Cohorts (4 total) Main cohort University Students Randomized to immediate or delayed vaccination (1:1, individual randomization) Approximately five months of followup Prospective Close Contact cohort (PCC) Close contacts of Main cohort participants identified at study start (or throughout) Contacts will enroll online with a referral code that links them to the vaccine study participant Some sample collection if self or main study participant tests positive (to be done remotely/mobile/self-collection) Case-Ascertained Close Contact cohort (CACC) Recent contacts of Main cohort participants close to infection (need not be students) Contacts will enroll online with a referral code that links them to the vaccine study participant Some sample collection (to be done rem2o0tely/mobile/self-collection)
