Grants and Contracts Details

Description

In this research project we will be working on tracking tax attitudes, perceptions, tax burdens and the reach of tax relief during the COVID-19 crisis. Also, we will be developing ICTD’s research in South Asia and particularly in Pakistan. We will propose research ideas, and also help the broader team develop relations with academics and policymakers already active in the area of tax research in Pakistan and other South Asian countries. We would work on ICTD’s DIGITAX project and we will also be involved in the development of new project ideas, for example linking tax to entrepreneurship and business creation, and tax clubs in schools. Work in this area might include literature reviews, work on the research design, scoping studies, etc. Other work may include peer reviews of working papers and African Tax Administration papers, mentoring researchers, providing guidance and feedback on research projects etc.
