Description
The Kentucky Occupational Safety and Health Surveillance (KOSHS) Program is proposing to
utilize the Worker Safety and Health (WSH) supplement to expand KOSHS surveillance to
identify work related COVID-19 cases within the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Through analysis
of multiple existing data sets, KOSHS WSH will identify hotspot areas throughout the
Commonwealth of Kentucky. Within each county hotspot, the program will identify key industries
potentially impacted by COVID-19 and conduct semi-structured interviews to understand
industry specific actions during the COVID-19 pandemic and the policies and practices in place
to allow for a safe return to work and to prevent or reduce exposures to COVID-19.
