Grants and Contracts Details
Description
Crash corridor analysis and identification of high crash frequency sections of highways will provide the basis for a systematic approach to implement a range of countermeasures to improve safety. Criteria will be developed to identify corridors which have roadway, driver, or vehicular factors and characteristics with a high potential for improvement based on known countermeasures. The methodology to be applied will be based on procedures and processes included in the Highway Safety Manual, with comparisons and ranking of corridors based on actual and expected crashes.
