Grants and Contracts Details
Description
The purpose ofthis project will be to demonstrate the capabilities ofthe simulation and
visualization products as well as validate its ability to replicate actual driver performance.
In order to achieve this, a simulation reflecting an actual roadway section will be created.
This will allow for comparison of driver operations in the simulator and field collection
data.
The objective ofthis research will be to compare operational speeds and perceived
comfort at operating speeds between 1) real-life driving conditions, 2) driver simulation
performance and 3) visualization simulations ofsimilar roadway sections.
