Abstract
Supplemental Funding to implement training on SBIRT for eating disorders
University of Kentucky Family Medicine Residency
We will create and implement new curricula to train our family medicine residents to diagnose
eating disorders in their patients in Appalachian Kentucky. The SBIRT model will be the tool
with which to identify and guide individuals who present with behavioral conditions that
accompany disordered eating. We request these funds to support our residency faculty while
they develop their knowledge about eating disorders and as they guide residents to use SBIRT
to care for patients with eating disorders during residency and when they begin their practices.
