Grants and Contracts Details
Description
Biological fixation alone might now provide N at the level required to support higher soybean yields. Later applications of nitrogen can increase seed protein and may be timed better for higher yields. Irrigated systems improve the yield potential of soybeans and provide an ideal mechanism to deliver nitrogen later in the season. This project will study soybean yields as affected by the timing of nitrogen applied through irrigation to pivots.
