Develop Environmental Handbook and Training, Research Study State No. 9

The Kentucky Transportation Center has facilitated environmental awareness training for governmental agencies for several years. This training is part of the LTAP Road Master series of courses required for personnel to qualify to become Superintendents within the Transportation Cabinet. The course is also required for any individual seeking Road Master certification, including local agency personnel. As the course has progressed, the nature of participants has changed from Superintendents to those frontline employees on crews involved in day to day maintenance activities. Therefore, it becomes necessary to revise this training material and references to better meet the needs of crews as well as managers within the Transportation Cabinet.
